Ranking the Global Pervasiveness of 3 Specific Expressions of Egregious Antisemitic Animus Country by Country

Below we have organized the findings on a country-by-country basis of three selected forms of antisemitic ideation surveyed in the ADL Global 100 index on antisemitism.^[1][1] https://global100.adl.org/map  

The ADL study in its entirety consists of surveys of the general public in “101 countries plus the Palestinian Territories in the West Bank & Gaza,”^[2][2] https://global100.adl.org/about/global100 aimed at gauging levels of antisemitic attitudes and adherence to 11 traditional anti-Semitic stereotypes. Those who answered, “probably true” to six or more questions were deemed to be antisemitic.^[3][3] https://global100.adl.org/about/global100

The survey found that an estimated 1,090,000,000 adults in the 101 countries plus the Palestinian territories surveyed harbour antisemitic sentiments. ^[4][4] https://global100.adl.org/map An additional 18% believe only one or two of the statements are “probably true.”^[5][5] https://global100.adl.org/did-you-know This 18% would add approximately another 749 million people to the total.  (NOTE: the ADL Global 100 survey does not include Pakistan, a major Muslim country with high levels of antisemitism. We selected only three of the 11 examples, that we felt were representative of the globalized phenomenon of 21^st century Jew-hatred that enjoyed particularly wide audiences within the global community; that were particularly common; or were malevolently conspiratorial in nature. We provide the ADL’s findings on the percentages of the population of each country surveyed holding the proposed antisemitic view and we ranked them in descending order. We also then translated the ADL-provided percentages into the actual numbers of people holding this view in the country surveyed.
